Viva Glam II is the lipstick on the left in the pictures. This has a satin finish, which means that it isn’t completely matte as it has a sheen to it. I find that this lipstick is really creamy and moisturising on my lips. It’s long lasting and I only have to top it up once or twice during the day. Viva Glam II goes with every makeup look due to it being a neutral shade. This lipstick will get a lot of love because no matter what makeup look I plan on wearing, this will look amazing with it! I don’t really own many nude lipsticks but this has definitely become a favourite of mine.
Heroine is the lipstick on the right in the pictures. This lipstick is an extremely bright purple shade and I’m completely in love with it! Every time I wear this, I always get complimented on it. It is a bit harder to wear compared to Viva Glam II because it does clash with certain colours. I tend to wear this lipstick when I’m wearing just mascara on my eyes, or winged eyeliner, or purple eyeshadow.
The formula for Heroine is matte. Matte finishes are my favourite because I love how they stick to my lips and last for a really long time. Even though Heroine is matte, it’s still very creamy and doesn’t dry out my lips at all. I find that this can last up to around 3 hours before I have to top it up, so it’s quite long lasting. I’d highly recommend you use a lip liner before applying this lipstick as it can get a little messy at times. Using a lip liner will also make the lipstick last longer on your lips too!
MAC lipsticks are £15.50 a pop, so yes, they are pricier than your average drugstore lipstick. I really do think that they’re worth every penny. I’ve got 3 MAC lipsticks now and none of them can be faulted. Every single one of them is amazing and they’re the best lipsticks I’ve tried out so far. I definitely would like to try out some more lipsticks from MAC. Let me know in the comments if there’s any specific shades you’d like to recommend!
