I can’t believe I’m 17 today! (I still act and feel like I’m a lot younger haha.) I can now learn how to drive which is pretty exciting! I’ve sent away my provisional application form, so watch out because I’ll be let loose on the roads soon! Being 17 means that another year has gone by and I really did enjoy being 16, however I hope being 17 will be even better!
I decided to wear my new dress from Zara, which I adore with all of my heart. I knew it was going to be warm so it was the perfect opportunity to finally wear it, and who doesn’t like wearing new clothes on their birthday?! I also wore my new hat from H&M as I thought it went nicely with the dress. I threw on my leather jacket as that’s my go-to jacket (even though I didn’t actually bring it with me). I wore tights as I didn’t know how hot it was going to be and I didn’t want my legs getting too chilly throughout the day. I wore my Primark plain black trainers as I knew a lot of walking would be in the equation. They’re so comfy and perfect for everyday wear. To finish off my outfit, I took along my Céline dupe bag from eBay as that’s my current everyday handbag.
I spent most of my birthday with my friend, Amy, and we went to Glasgow. We went to central first to do a little bit of shopping then we went to Bryes Road for the first time. It was really nice going to a different part of Glasgow instead of just going to the main parts. We used the subway which was fun, but quite different to a normal train as they go so fast! Bryes Road has a lovely vibe to it and we went to a park near there to eat our lunch. The weather was beautiful so it was nice to just walk around and soak in the sunshine. Due to it being rather warm, we bought a box of Twister ice lollies and they were amazing! I love them!
I’m now finishing up on this blog post and afterwards I’m going to watch a movie with my mum and brother called The Internship. Amy kindly gave me this as one of my birthday presents and apparently it’s really good, so I’m looking forward to watching it! I have my birthday cake calling my name as well as some strawberries and raspberries waiting to be demolished. A normal teenage girl would want chocolate and sweets on their birthday, but I’m all about the fresh fruit – yummy!
