The early history of AutoCAD began with the release of the first version in December 1982, called “AutoCAD 1.” The software was designed for use by draftsmen who were paid to create technical drawings based on their firm’s detailed design specifications. Yes, you can prepare two spells.
The most important bit for preparing a spell is that it says

To cast the spell, you must expend a spell slot of the spell’s level or higher.

So no matter where you cast it, you can prepare it. The fact that it was a Spell Attack doesn’t matter.
You can prepare any spell you want, as long as you have a slot open of the appropriate level. Since you can prepare multiple spells of the same level, you can prepare multiple spells of that level even if you already have 2 prepared.
If you prepare a 5th level spell, then cast a second 4th level spell, you get two 4th level spells.
