AutoCAD 24.0 [32|64bit] [March-2022]

Today, AutoCAD is used to design and draw 2D technical drawings and 3D computer aided design (CAD) drawings and models. Since AutoCAD 2008, drawings can be projected into the real world, using the Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) or.NET platform. Projecting drawings is not available in previous releases of AutoCAD.

AutoCAD 2012 introduced a 2D drawing area, the insertion of a dynamic object and the support of the Web. On the Web, you can access AutoCAD from a computer with an Internet connection. In addition, users can download AutoCAD drawings, make them publicly viewable, and share them with others. By accessing AutoCAD on the Web, users can collaborate, interactively. With collaboration features, users can share work, view a document in progress and annotate, make changes, and even modify the same drawing.

This article outlines basic concepts of drawing in AutoCAD, including line and polyline drawing, arc, spline, curve, and ellipse modeling. Also covered are basic drawing tools, which include the ability to erase, redraw, undo, and even save drawings to file.

Understanding AutoCAD Line and Polyline Drawing

AutoCAD supports a variety of drawing technologies, including line, polyline, and arcs. The line tool allows you to draw straight, curvilinear, and natural spline lines. When drawing lines, you can set the length and direction of each line. By changing the drawing window location, you can modify the order in which line segments are drawn.

To insert a polyline or arc, select the LINE or POLYLINE command. The LINE or POLYLINE command prompts you to enter length and direction values.

Understanding AutoCAD Arc and Spline Drawing

With AutoCAD, you can make arcs or splines by drawing or importing curved sections. You can select from three basic types of arcs: Natural, Helix, and Symmetric. You can easily modify the arc by setting values for end width and tightness. To add a spline or spline series, you can draw from four basic methods: Polyline, Full Curve, Half Curve, and Piecewise Curve.

Understanding AutoCAD Curve and Ellipse Drawing

To draw curves and ellipses, you need to select the CURVE or ELLIPSE command.

The first two and a half minutes of each drawing are used as the original drawing size, which allows CAD to use drawing size presets.

New cadets can use Create from Template to quickly create a new drawing.

Set the Architecture parameter to show for example only the Unfolding view and the Landscape view.

Click on the box icon on the top right corner of the window.
You will see a new menu with the following options:

– Generate Export File
– Unfolding
– Landscape
– Set Point Line Style
– Save Selected File
– Print
– Close

Generate an export file

Select the “Generate Export File” option and select the file in which to save the exporter.

Make sure the Units are in millimeters, but save it as a decimal number (ex..050 = 50mm)

Click on “Save Selected File” to save the file in the directory you choose.

By default, the “Unfolding” option is disabled in the Options box.

Click on “Unfolding” in the Options box and choose the layer to be unfolded.
The image below shows a “A” frame being unfolded.

If you want to fold a “C” frame in the same way, click on the frame to be unfolded and select the same “Unfolding” option.

If you want to fold any other surface, select any surface and then select the “Unfolding” option.

Choose whether to export a “T1” (triangulated) file or a “T2” (two-manifold) file.

If you select the “T2” file, the option “Color” in the Options box will enable you to choose the color of the unfolded lines.

If you select the “T1” file, the option “Color” in the Options box will enable you to choose the color of the unfolded lines.

You will see the exported file in the folder where you saved the file in the options box “Generate Export File”.

By default, the “Landscape” option is disabled in the Options box.

Click on “Landscape” in the Options box and select the direction in which you want to unfold the surface.

Make sure the Units are in millimeters, but save it as a decimal number (ex..050 = 50mm)

Click on the box icon on the top right corner of the window.
You will see a new

Markup Assist features can be accessed from the Image review window for a single drawing file, or from the draw menu and context menus for an entire drawing project.

You can choose to import feedback into a drawing and then make changes and save. In this case, changes are automatically saved, and the drawing is saved as a new copy.

You can also annotate the drawing in the review window, then import the feedback into the drawing.

Feedback that is not incorporated into the drawing cannot be communicated back to the designer.

Import and incorporate feedback from other applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, or drawings created in another CAD application.

Import and incorporate comments and photos from PDF files.

Import comments from paper and PDF files, photos from online sources, or import comments and photos from documents on your local hard disk.

You can import comments or photos into a single drawing without creating a new copy.

The new Draw Review Window in AutoCAD 2020 is a separate drawing view that displays the drawing and the review window simultaneously.

The drawing is displayed in a scaled view, while the review window is displayed in a wide view of the entire drawing.

You can make annotations on the drawing in the review window and communicate those comments back to the designer.

The drawing is displayed in an overlay mode that allows you to make annotations on the drawing and have those comments automatically reflected in the drawing.

Copy drawings to another location:

Change the directory location from which drawings are automatically copied.

You can automatically copy all open drawings to a specific location, or copy individual drawings to the current project location.

Add a new property value to all open drawings.

Set a minimum height for paper-sized drawings.

Copy, move, and resize drawings and other drawing objects.

Import and add comments to drawings in a separate window.

Insert new drawings directly into a new drawing project.

Insert existing drawings or parts into a new drawing project.

Add and modify parts.

Add or delete arcs, spline segments, and other objects.

Add and edit text and text styles.

Create, edit, and delete annotation objects.
