Hi everyone! Welcome back to my channel. I hope you’re all doing well.
Today’s video is going to be hopefully a short and sweet video of me just introducing our newest addition to our family, Finlay McArdle, my beautiful baby boy.
Yeah, I’m gonna try and make this short and sweet but it’s me, sometimes I do ramble on… So, basically, I’ve had a baby boy, Finlay. I am now a mum, which still sounds so weird saying that!
Sorry if i look this way it’s because there’s a big mirror here and he’s looking at himself in the mirror. Is that you? Is that you and Mummy?! Sorry about the stupid voices – it’s just part of me now.
So, yeah, I’m just gonna say the obvious… I have not filmed a video on my channel in so long! I basically didn’t have a great pregnancy – physically and mentally. I was sick so much. I was so down about it. I just really, really wasn’t well. So, obviously, I couldn’t really film and I didn’t really want to film videos… But I’m back with my baby. I’ve obviously done the pregnancy now, I’ve had him, I’m feeling so much better… I’m feeling more myself now. I definitely think it’s time that I get back into my videos because it’s obviously what I love doing and yeah, I just can’t wait to start filming again and posting videos and hopefully you guys are glad that I’m back too, because I’ve had a couple people message saying like, “when are you gonna upload a video?” and to be honest, I really didn’t know when I was going to start filming videos again. I just knew when I knew that the time was right and I was ready to start filming videos, I would do it and I didn’t even know that I was going to film today. I just thought, “hey! Why not? Better late than never!”
So, yeah, this is Finlay McArdle. He’s got no middle name, so his name is just Finlay McArdle. He is going to be eight weeks on Friday so he’s currently seven and a half weeks. Oh! Was that a little bit of wind? Good boy! So yeah, I can’t believe he’s going to be two months at the end of this month! It is crazy! Where has the time gone?!
Oh, I knew this would happen at some point. Oh, no. Maybe you want some milk? Do you want some milk? I don’t even think you want some milk… Was that just a little bit of a winge? I think it was. You’re okay, you’re okay.
So, Finlay was a little surprise baby. We had no idea he was in my belly at the start, but it was the best surprise ever. I would never, ever, ever change it. I absolutely love being a mum! I didn’t think I would be a mum at this age.
Oh… Who’s phoning me? Hello. Thank you. Bye-bye. I don’t even know what I was saying now… And that’s the story of my life. My mind is all over the place and I don’t think I’ll ever get that back.
So, yeah, we didn’t know about Finlay. He was a surprise like I said. He was due on the 22nd October but he was eight days late. He was born on 30th October at 1:22am and he weighed 8lbs 12oz, so he was a little bit of a chunky baby. I got told I was measuring three weeks behind for the full pregnancy, so I was a little bit worried and then we went for a growth scan, and they were like, “don’t worry. By the time that your baby’s due, he’ll be (well, they never said he because we didn’t know that he was a he) they were like, “don’t worry. The baby will be between six and seven pounds” and I was, like “okay, that’s alright. That’s kind of what I was, it’s kind of what Sean was when he was born. Great, as long as he’s well, as long as the baby (again, we didn’t know the gender) is healthy – that’s all that matters. And then you came out a little boy and you were 8lbs 12oz, so it was more between eight and nine pounds, not the six and seven that they said. But like I said, he was all healthy and that is what matters!
So, I don’t want to talk too much about my pregnancy and my birth. I might possibly do that in, like, other videos or do a video dedicated to my pregnancy and a video dedicated to my birth. But I don’t want to talk too much about it, because they are very long stories – let me tell you. And I don’t want to bore you if you don’t want to watch that and you just want to see Finlay, because you’re the cutest, aren’t you? You are and you know it!
So, I think that’s everything… I feel like I’ve missed important information I wanted to say about him, but I’ve basically said the most important things I think. Like I said, I don’t want to talk about my pregnancy and my birth, because I really would be here all day. I just wanted to quickly come on, introduce him and say that I am going to be back doing my videos. So, if you want to comment down below on any videos you’d like to see from me, let me know. Because obviously, I’m going to do some mummy ones now that I’m a mummy. I’m obviously going to get back to doing my kind of typical videos: my makeup videos, my fashion videos, I might eventually (when we can do things because obviously, we’re in a lockdown) I might start doing like vlogs and things for when the three of us go out on some adventures – I might vlog them. Yeah, would you like that? Would you? He is like, “what is that bright light?” Do you like it? Will you be in some videos with mummy? Yeah, I think you will.
So, yeah, I think that’s all… I could talk all day about him because he’s the most amazing thing ever to happen to me and Sean, but yeah, we’ll stop for today. I wanted this to be a short and sweet video, so I’m sure in videos to come I will ramble on and on about how much I love him and how amazing he’s doing and stuff like that. So, yeah, comment down below any videos you’d like to see because in the New Year we’re going to enjoy Christmas and New Year, aren’t we? Hopefully going to get this well this probably might be up after christmas… I’m not too sure, but we’re going to enjoy Christmas and New Year as a family because your daddy’s off and he’s going to spend some time with us, and mummy’s off. She’s not going to be doing her beauty, hair and makeup things. She’s going to be spending time with you and daddy. And then in the New Year, I’m going to start doing some videos and hopefully, get them up weekly – fingers crossed.
