Recently, I paid MAC a visit and I went in intending to buy a lipstick and left with no lipstick, but with Fix Plus. I’ve read so many positive reviews on this and whenever I go into MAC, I always forget to pick it up. Last week, the time had finally come and I remembered to finally purchase this heavily product.
MAC Fix Plus is a refresher/finishing mist. It comes in a transparent bottle with a black lid that twists, so you can lock it and unlock it. (This comes in really handy as it won’t have a chance of leaking in your bag.) It’s a clear spray and looks just like water, but I can assure you it’s definitely just not water. It says on the back of the box that the ingredients are: water, glycerin, cucumber fruit extract, chamomilla recutita (matricaria) extract, camellia sinensis leaf extract, caffeine, and a couple of other things that are all supposed to be very good for your skin. It also states on the back that MAC Fix Plus is “a soothing moisture mist that refreshes the skin and finishes makeup. Hold bottle 12″ away from face and spray evenly. Use before or after makeup.” Hearing this as well as a lot of amazing reviews on it completely sold me. I’ve always been after a product that will set my makeup and make it last longer and this was calling my name.
I use this before and after my makeup. I moisturise like normal, then spray three even pumps of this onto my face. (A spray on the left side on my face, a spray on the right side, and the last spray is on the center of my face.) This step adds a little more moisture to my face as well as priming it before applying all of my makeup. I also find it helps me blend my foundation into my skin a lot better too. When I’m finished doing my makeup, I spray three even pumps of this onto my face again. Doing this, it sets my makeup and makes it last a lot longer, which really helps when I’m doing long shifts or when I go out at night. It also helps get rid of that horrible powdery look and gives you a nice, healthy glow instead.
MAC Fix Plus is now one of my holy grail products and it’ll be re-purchased over and over again. I’ve used this everyday for just over a week and I love it! (If you haven’t guess that already haha.) It honestly looks like the liquid inside hasn’t budged at all, so I have a feeling this 100ml bottle will last me a long time. The 100ml is the full size costing £14.50 and that price can be classed as expensive, but you’re definitely getting your moneys worth with this. If you don’t want to spend that much money on MAC Fix Plus, you can get the 30ml travel size for £8 so it’s a bit cheaper. Personally, I think the extra £6.50 is worth it as you’re getting 70ml more of the product. Because I love this so much, I’m actually thinking about getting the travel size bottle as well to just throw into my bag. It’ll be a lot less weight in there, it’ll take up less room and it’ll be easier to take out and use.
All in all, this MAC Fix Plus is fabulous! I think this is an amazing product for all skin types. It doesn’t irate the skin because of all the natural ingredients, it doesn’t make the skin greasy or clog up any pores. No matter what your skin type is, you should try MAC Fix Plus out and hopefully you’ll love it as much as I do!
Have you tried MAC Fix Plus? Or anything similar?
